Journal Article Bibiography
If you're planning on writing a paper on Beauty
and the Beast, or even if you're just interested in some critical studies
of it, then hopefully you will find this useful. I have organized the
articles into specific topics, so as to make it easier to find information
on the various incarnations of the tale (some of them may be listed in
more than one place. I have not read most of these articles myself--I
based this organization off their abstracts and subject descriptors).
Most of these articles should be available at any decent-sized university/college.
If you don't live near a college, but still want to get your hands on
some of these articles, then I recommend that you talk to your local public
library--they should have an Inter-Library Loan program, whereby copies
of the articles can be sent to you, often for free or for a very small
fee. Please note: do not ask me to send you copies of these articles.
I'm way too busy, and besides, I already did half of your work by creating
this bibliography :)
